About Morrow Surveying

The Morrow Surveying Story

Morrow Surveying got its start in the 1940s with Matt’s Grandpa, Frank Morrow, learning the profession during his time as Fire Direction Officer in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. After completing his service, Frank worked for various public and private survey and engineering firms before obtaining his professional license. In 1971 Frank teamed with Emmott Sutcliffe and formed Sutcliffe & Morrow. Franks, son, Tom Morrow graduated from Davis H.S. in 1972 and began to work with the newly formed business soon after graduation.

Tom Morrow went on to work for the Spink Corporation in 1975, before buying out his father in 1982 and forming what was then known as Tom O. Morrow, Inc., and now Morrow Surveying.

Now over 40-years later, a 3rd generation Morrow has become CEO with Matt recently taking the reins from his father Tom. Under Matt’s direction the company has expanded its services into drone and similar new mapping technologies, while still holding true to the values, principles and dedication to customer service started by his Grandfather 50-years ago.
